A full weekend of fun, historical and educational activities will entertain during Butch Cassidy Days at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site in Laramie, June 26-28.

The weekends’ festivities include a tractor parade and pull, living history exhibits, a presentation on Butch Cassidy by his great-great-nephew, medicine show, exhibits, barbecue and dinner theater.

Childrens events include a scavenger hunt, prison bingo and stick horse rodeo with Miss Butch Cassidy Days.

The dinner theater features Rattlesnake Jake on Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Events begin at 12 noon lasting until 6 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The prison, broom factory, homestead cabins, Boxcar house and warden’s residence will also be open.

Butch Cassidy Days

Our biggest summer event is right around the corner. Butch Cassidy Days starts June 26 at noon and runs Sat. (27) and Sunday (28), 9 to 6. Events include a tractor pull, living histories, puppet theater, Rattlesnake Jake and the Good fer Nothing Gang (evening performances), a scavenger hunt for kids, Wild West rope and whip tricks, melodramas, broom making demonstrations, wagon rides, and guided tours of the prison.
